Project VERB
Join Skunk River Cycles and the VERB Street Team EVERY FRIDAY at 9am at Brookside Park in Ames for bike rides! All rides will leave Brookside Park unless otherwise announced. The goal for the final ride is to be able to ride to Ada Hayden Park and back. Check VERB website for additional dates or changes in start locations at www.iowaverb.org
Bike Rides are weather permitting, helmets are mandatory, and a parental consent form must be filled out prior to each bike ride.
Ronn’s Rules of the Road
*Arrive half hour before ride time to allow for safety check of your bicycle
*All riders must use a properly fitted cycle helmet
*All riders must have completed a release form
*Riders please ride in single file on bike paths-we share these paths with skaters, runners, walkers, and others.
*Riders Pass safely on the left with a bell or verbal “on your left” warning
*Riders abide by Iowa cycle and traffic codes-stopping and signaling
*Riders should not weave or over take other riders in a reckless manner
*Minimum safety requirements:
-Properly inflated tire
-At least one operating brake
-Safely attach accessories-no loose or dangling parts.
-For courtesy of other riders, please make sure the bicycle can be safely ridden..
-Rides will be between 20 min. to 40 min. in length, speeds under 12 mph
